Oi Oi!!! Xmas is just in the corner and with are planning come to London this time the year, I can tell you with a 100% sure THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

When is Christmas time in London everybody is looking forward to be in doors enjoying a nice roast turkey dinner with your loves one... so: no pubs, no clubs, no train/bus and mini cab is a fortune.

If you are coming with family to be in home and have a xmas experience, is nice ...but is you are coming to be alone...I can tell you: you will be.

Yeah, was my bday everyone and I choose the RED DOG SALOON to celebrate this special day.

The place is so cool and the service wonderful...but if you want celebrate something there aswell, book a table as soon is possible. because the restaurant is full all the time ...

The reason for that is because the food is delicious... We had a lovely Pork Ribs with mash potato #YUMMYYYYYYYY#

Semana passada um lovely friend me mandou uma mensagem perguntando qual seria meus planos para esse weekend ... como nada estava ainda programado ele me convidou para few drinks e obviamente eu aceitei #todoamorpelomeusenglishfriends#

Apesar de nao ter definido o lugar straight away eu tomei a iniciativa de escolher o lugar e optei pelo RED DOG SALOON in Hoston Square, mas para minha surpresa tentei fazer reserva na quinta e ja estava lotado para o horario que queriamos ir #shame#  

Entao ele escolheu, tambem em Hoxton um lugar chamado: 

O lugar e mais que exclusivo (adoro esse tipo de coisa ;) para comecar nao tem nome ou placa na frente indicando, ou seja, so vai la MEMBROS ou os english que ja conhecem (meu caso agora lol )

Outro ponto interessante e super cool e o cara que recepciona ... uma mistura de Will.I.am com Django do velho oeste que me fez passar um tempao so olhando pra ele ;D

O lugar e lindo, super diferente e o atendimente MARVELOUS... also a comida uma delicia e super barata ... a unica coisa que nao gostei muito foi o modo como e servido ( o burger vem embrulhado e a salada em uma caixinha com cutlery de madeira descartavel)

Ps. if you like GIN, there voce pode escolher uma infinidade de cocktails que tambem nao e servido com muito glamour BUT my friend really enjoyed   
      

Harrods ££££££ :)

Why not shopping at Harrods ??!!

Ontem, eu estive pela primeira fez na loja da Harrods and before to be there I was wondering that should be impossible to buy anything, but I was quite wrong.

The place is such amazing and big REALLY BIG... vale a pena conferir!

Muitas das coisas por la como roupas, sapatos e joias nao tem precos, ou seja, voce precisa perguntar a um dos staffs caso tenha interesse em comprar.

But, there is um departamente de food and wine que cabe no bolso de qualquer pessoa, alem de pequenos restaurantes que provavelmente nao deve ser impossivel have a dinner there.

Caso queira visitar e sair de la holding same green bags, why not visit the website first and check out the prices ... such good idea hun?! :)

Scottish Egg ..hmmmm

One day I was watching The Office ( love it) and I saw Keith eating something looks like a 'coxinha' (brazilian snack) but I was sure wasn't that ... so, later I found out that this delicious little ball is Scottish Egg.

Recently I had the opportunity to try at Old Crown pub 33 New Oxford St, London WC1A 1BH.

I didn't eat the egg because I have a little problem with the melt yolk, but the pork meat is such amazing.

This is the recipe, just in case you like to cook for your friends this summer:

Preparation method

1. Place the eggs, still in their shells, in a pan of cold salted water.
2. Place over a high heat and bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to simmer for exactly nine minutes.
3. Drain and cool the eggs under cold running water, then peel.
4. Mix the sausage meat with the thyme, parsley and spring onion in a bowl and season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper (Simon recommends being generous with the freshly ground black pepper).
5. Divide the sausage meat mixture into four and flatten each out on a clean surface into ovals about 12.5cm/5in long and 7.5cm/3in at its widest point.
6. Place the seasoned flour onto a plate, then dredge each boiled egg in the flour.
7. Place each onto a sausage meat oval, then wrap the sausage meat around each egg. Make sure the coating is smooth and completely covers each egg.
8. Dip each sausage meat-coated egg in the beaten egg, rolling to coat completely, then dip and roll into the breadcrumbs to completely cover.
9. Heat the oil in a deep heavy-bottomed pan, until a breadcrumb sizzles and turns brown when dropped into it. (CAUTION: hot oil can be dangerous. Do not leave unattended.)
10. Carefully place each scotch egg into the hot oil and deep-fry for 8-10 minutes, until golden and crisp and the sausage meat is completely cooked.
11. Carefully remove from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
12. Serve cool.

Hey, taxi?!

 How everybody knows the public transport in London is pretty cool ... bus or train in my opinion is comfortable and you can plan your time with 99% sure you gonna be just in time where do you wanna go... but if you choose the tube to go everywhere probably you never gonna see little details that this wonderful city has.

So if are with friends and pretend go to somewhere no so far why not call a taxi? or even alone when you are backing from the supermarket, for example, take a taxi... this is a lovely opportunity to talk with someone different that really need understand what are you saying, otherwise you'll pay a lot of money or stop in somewhere soooooooo far.

ASPERS CASINO - STRATFORD

Hello all!  Have  you been at Stratford? Some people can say yes to do two things: Shopping or to watch the Olympic games, right?

My new tip is have fun at ASPERS CASINO .... You don't realise how beautiful e fun is that place :)

With bars and restaurants whole casino is lovely...

Students in London, what ask?

If your dream is save money to come to London to learn English, check out in this important tips .... don't put your money in the bin.

1- A lot of websites show pics from nice and clean places but sometimes this is not what happen, so ask if there is a person to clean the house, how many times, if you have any task to do in the house.

2 - Always choose a single room... I say that for a lot of reasons ( if the house is not to clean you have your own place to be comfortable, share with another students is not too good when people wake up and sleep in different times or your room-mate dont like clean the room and this is a sort of thing can give you a lot of trouble)

3 - Ask where the another students came from and never ever go to a place with people from your country or that speak the same language ... trust me, this is can be really really bad for you.

4 - Avoid go to a students parties, there,  you just will meet people from another country with a English exactly like yours ... and I suppose you will be here to learn English and try get the accent, right?!

5 - Check before and when you arrive if the house has TV, internet, a good mattress, these two thinks make a big difference ;)

6 - Rooms with private fridge is much better than places where you need share in the kitchen with the other

CANARY WHARF

Hi ya! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty cool .. London is so hot this days and everybody is on the streets to enjoy every single minute with sunshine.

Because of this I have been in Canary Wharf, one of the my favourites places in London. Recently I found out the Jamies Oliver Restaurant and this weekend could be there to enjoy a delicious food and refresh wine.

The restaurant is really beautiful, the service is nice and the food amazing ... Do forget to try CRAB AND AVOCADO BRUSCHETTA ... divine!!!!

The Best of CAMDEN TOWN

Hello all! I would like to share my last weekend with you ....

Me and a couple of friends have been in Camden Town, but not to do what everybody do when to be in London for holiday or studding for few months ... as everybody knows or saw in somewhere, Camden is a very busy place with people showing a very particular style and TOURISTS a lot of TOURISTS, ou seja, todas as linguas menos ENGLISH....

buuuuuttttttt....where we have been only English people was around, the place called THE HAWLEY ARMS  (2 Castlehaven Rd, London NW1 8QU) had Amy Winehouse like a customer and there is best playlist from indie rock (that I love) ever ... 

Drinks prices really cool and now in the summer you can share tables under the sun in the back garden or upstairs ... forget you high heels at home (hard task for me) make a relax style and have fun

Heart's Supermarkets

           

Doesn't matter which country you are, you need to buy food and stuffs for your place, right?!

So, thinking about this I gonna go talk about my favourites supermarkets in that city that I love #jasabequalene#

Both places, in my opinion are really different, apesar de serem supermercados... 

With your colours red, blue and employees from everywhere in the world, the TESCO is the London face.

Is the supermarket where you can find everything ... everybody from your country is there making shopping or working, there is food from your country too - with a special place just for it - and the prices are for all pockets #todosmesmo#

So, if you apenas chegou em Londres e precisa comprar artigos para o seu quarto, como: sheets, pillows, duvets, etc  o lugar e o TESCO, tudo isso is very cheap, apesar da qualidade ficar a desejar, mas para quem vai passar apenas alguns meses e deixar tudo isso aqui, pra que comprar caro ??!!!

As lojas are soooo beautiful, the employees almost English people (sem falar no prazer que eles tem em ajudar) - sometimes you don't need pedir ajudar, basta fazer aquela cara de: WHERE IS THIS? e pronto!!! logo someone will ask you: May I help? <3

Outra coisa muito legal e que lojas como a de Canary Wharf tem muitos ingleses como clientes ou pessoas com very good accent, afinal, is not possible qualquer um com english like mine, trabalhar nos grandes offices and banks around there, right?! #aindachegola#

The prices are a little bit mais caros que o TESCO, mas artigos de muito boa qualidade e beleza...ou seja, if you mora aqui e gosta de deixar tudo bem bonito no seu home sweet home, go straight to WAITROSE - cama,mesa e banho que deixaram seus convidados impressionados NO DOUBT !!

Fica a dica: SUPERMARKETS - but, for two kind of people 

                How important is to read and where to read 

Well, today I'll continue writing about read habit in England #muitoamordemaisporessepais#.

Como falei no post anterior, uma das coisas que acho mais legal e que e muito comum aqui em London e o habito da leitura ... Alem dos free papers, you can also, sempre ver um livro nas maos dos ingleses... seja nos cafes, no metro ou na LIBRARY.

Isso, LIBRARY - esse lugar que me ajuda bastante to improve my English... entao chegando em London introduza esse special place na sua rotina semanal.

TIP - Se voce vem para passar mais de 6 meses solicite straight away na Library perto da sua casa um formulario para tornar-se membro ... isso lhe dara direito de pegar livros emprestados e alugar filmes (guarde os recibos e seu DVD rent can be for free) #prettycool#

Caso voce venha para ficar just a couple of months nao tem problema at all, pois voce pode ir apenas como visitante e aproveitar uma boa leitura por algumas horas ou ate mesmo tomar apenas um cafe e ouvir os ingleses conversando (adoro ir no horario entre 3:30 e 4:00pm que e quando tem muitas criancas, ou seja,posso ouvir entre eles uma linguagem mais simples)
